Compare Translations

Study Scripture side by side — WEB and KJV for every chapter of the Bible

Why Compare Translations?

Every Bible translation makes choices about how to render the original Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek into English. By reading the same passage in two different translations, you can:

  • Catch nuances that a single translation might not fully convey
  • Understand difficult passages by seeing how different translators interpreted them
  • Appreciate the original language through the range of English renderings
  • Deepen memorization by noticing which words and phrases each version uses

The World English Bible (WEB) uses modern, clear language while the King James Version (KJV) preserves the literary grandeur of 1611 English. Together, they offer a rich study experience.
