Why These Translations?
We chose the King James Version and the World English Bible because they are both fully in the public domain — meaning they can be freely shared, quoted, and displayed without copyright restrictions.
Many modern translations like the NIV, ESV, and NLT are excellent, but they're copyrighted by their publishers. Using them on a website requires formal licensing and has strict quotation limits. We believe Scripture should be as accessible as possible, so we start with translations that have no legal barriers.
King James Version (KJV)
