🔥 Suffering
Suffering is part of life in a broken world, but Scripture reveals its redemptive purpose and God's presence through it all.
For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which will be revealed toward us.
Our present sufferings are not worth comparing to the glory that will be revealed.
Count it all joy, my brothers, when you fall into various temptations, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. Let endurance have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
Count trials as joy because they produce endurance and completeness.
For our light affliction, which is for the moment, works for us more and more exceedingly an eternal weight of glory,
Our light and momentary troubles are achieving an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.
But may the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a little while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.
After you have suffered a little while, God will restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.
Not only this, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces perseverance; and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope; and hope doesn’t disappoint us, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
Suffering produces perseverance, perseverance character, character hope.
Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all.

I have told you these things, that in me you may have peace. In the world you have trouble; but cheer up! I have overcome the world.”
In this world you will have trouble, but take heart — Jesus has overcome the world.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, through the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.
God comforts us in all our afflictions so we can comfort others.
All chastening seems for the present to be not joyous but grievous; yet afterward it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.
Discipline seems painful at the time but later yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness.
But he knows the way that I take. When he has tried me, I will come out like gold.
When God has tested me, I shall come forth as gold.
