🤗 Comfort
In times of pain and sorrow, God is the God of all comfort. These verses remind us that we are never alone in our struggles.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, through the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.
The Father of mercies and God of all comfort comforts us in all our affliction.
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me. Your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
Your rod and Your staff comfort me — even in the darkest valley.
“Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
Come to Me all who are weary, and I will give you rest.
“Comfort, comfort my people,” says your God.
Comfort, comfort My people — God's tender words to a hurting nation.
Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit.
The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.
I will pray to the Father, and he will give you another Counselor, that he may be with you forever: the Spirit of truth, whom the world can’t receive, for it doesn’t see him and doesn’t know him. You know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.
Jesus promises the Comforter — the Spirit of truth who will be with us forever.
As one whom his mother comforts, so I will comfort you. You will be comforted in Jerusalem.”
As a mother comforts her child, so God will comfort His people.
This is my comfort in my affliction, for your word has revived me.
God's promise is the psalmist's comfort — it gives life in affliction.
We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose.
In all things God works for good — comfort in knowing nothing is wasted.
He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more; neither will there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain any more. The first things have passed away.”
God will wipe every tear — the ultimate comfort of the eternal future.
