Character
Disciplined, wise beyond his years, and diplomatically brilliant. Daniel could speak truth to absolute monarchs without getting killed (usually). He was humble about his gifts — always crediting God — and consistent in his private life. His enemies could find no corruption in him, so they had to target his faith.
Legacy
A model of integrity in hostile environments. His prophecies influenced Jewish and Christian eschatology profoundly. Jesus referenced Daniel's visions directly. He proves that you can be faithful to God and excellent at your work — and that those two things are not in conflict.
